PROGRAM:
Day 1
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN – LISBON – FÁTIMA
Arrival at Lisbon Airport. Meeting with the Guide of Cordial Tours at the airport.
Begin of the visit to Lisbon, capital of Portugal and the famous city of the 7 hills. Short panoramic tour in direction of the oldest quarter of the city: Alfama. On the way, you will have the opportunity of admiring the main avenues of the city including the areas: Marquês do Pombal Square, Av. da Liberdade, Restauradores Square, Rossio and Baixa, famous quarter that was totally rebuilt after the big earthquake in 1755.
Lunch in a local restaurant.
At the beginning of the afternoon, departure towards the historical quarter of Belém that celebrates the epic of the Portuguese Discoveries. Visit to the magnificent Jerónimos Monastery (church and cloisters) dated the 16th century and master piece of the Manueline architecture. Afterwards we proceed to visit the “Antiga Confeitaria de Belém” (Old Confectionery of Belém) to taste the famous “Pastéis de Belém”, the history of which mixes with the time itself. Finally short stop at the river Tejo bank by the Monument of the Discoveries, built in 1960 to honour “Infante D. Henrique” and the Portuguese explorers and a last stop by the Belém Tower, built in the 16th century to defend the harbour of Lisbon, being nowadays one of the ex-libris from Lisbon.
Transfer to Fátima. Check-in.

Day 2
FÁTIMA
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure from the hotel to visit the Sanctuary of Fátima, one of the most important Marian shrines around the World. The basis of their origin dates back to 1917, the year when three shepherd children Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta witnessed several apparitions of Our Lady every 13th day between May to October (with the exception of the month August, which was the 19th). In the Sanctuary, visit the Chapel of the Apparitions, exactly where was the small holm oak on which Our Lady appeared to the shepherds. Free time for prayer or possibility to attend the mass. Then visit to the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Neo-Baroque style where you can visit the graves of the three shepherds and visit the modern Basilica of the Holy Trinity.
Lunch in the Hotel.
In the afternoon visit to Aljustrel, the birthplace of the three children and where even today you can visit their modest homes. Then departure for Valinhos and Loca do Anjo, places of worship and devotion that are also related to the apparitions of Fatima.
Return to the Hotel.
Dinner and accommodation in the Hotel in Fátima.
In the evening, possibility to participate in the Holy Rosary and at candles procession.
Day 3
FÁTIMA - BATALHA - NAZARÉ - ALCOBAÇA - ÓBIDOS - LISBON

Departure from the Hotel to Batalha to visit the famous Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória, master piece of gothic style with manueline elements, constructed under D. João I. The construction of the monastery was ordered as thanks to the Virgin Mary for the victory in the Battle of Aljubarrota which took place in 1385 between the Portuguese and Castilian. The construction of the monastery took two centuries and crossed the reign of seven kings. Currently and since 2007 it is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Visit the church and cloister.
Then, drive to Nazaré, a town of strong fishing traditions with a huge relationship with the sea. From the cliff top Sítio, possibility to admire the immense maritime landscape and the huge sandy beach of Nazaré.

Continuation to Alcobaça to visit the impressive Monastery of Alcobaça that has been built as a result of the promise made by the first king of Portugal - D. Afonso Henriques during the conquest of the town of Santarém from the Moors. The origins of the monastery date back to the XII century and is deeply associated with the Cistercian Order. Visit the Monastery highlighting two masterpieces of Gothic sculpture in Portugal: the tombs of King Pedro I and Inês de Castro, who were involved in a tragic love story in the Middle Ages.
Afterwards departure to Óbidos, charming medieval village enclosed between walls and for several reigns was offering as the wedding present for the queens of Portugal. Beautifully preserved, Óbidos enchants for its authenticity of Portuguese homes. Brief walking tour through the streets of Óbidos.
Transfer to Lisboa. Check-in.

Day 4
LISBON - SINTRA – CABO DA ROCA – CASCAIS – ESTORIL - LISBON
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure towards the charming town of Sintra, offering extraordinary beauty and scenery that was once the summer residence of the kings of Portugal. Source of inspiration to famous writers such as Lord Byron and Hans Christian Andersen, the romanticism of Sintra is mainly present in its many palaces, fountains and gardens. Classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage site, the Cultural Landscape of Sintra brings together a perfect combination between nature and the built heritage.
At the historical centre of the village visit the Sintra National Palace easy to identify due to its unique cone figured chimneys and a diversity of architectonic styles from different centuries.
Continuation of the visit towards Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe. Then pass along Guincho where the landscape is dominated by the immense Atlantic Ocean. Short Panoramic Tour in the fishing village of Cascais. Return to the hotel in Lisbon along the Tagus river passing Estoril, recognized seaside resort where you can admire the famous Casino and its magnificent gardens.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon free for personal visits.

Day 5
