Departure from Lisbon towards Sintra, a true link between the land and the ocean, where nature, architecture and history combine in a unique way. It is, par excellence, the Portuguese capital of Romanticism. The route through the mountains makes you feel privileged to be part of a scenario that transports to the imaginary of fairy tales and novels. In 1995, the town of Sintra was classified as Cultural Landscape and World Heritage Site, reinforcing its reputation as magical and unique place that attracts thousands of visitors all year round.
At first visit to the lovely Pena Palace, built on the highest points of the mountain and built in the nineteenth century. Considered as one of the seven wonders of Portugal, this palace has a mixture of architectural styles and symbols that results in a meeting of cultures and the reinvention of fantastic worlds, creating a perfect fusion between art of the East and the West.
At midday, we will have free time to stroll through the historic center and lunch will be served in the restaurant of the Hotel Tivoli Sintra.
Continuation of the tour to one of the most emblematic places in Portugal: Cabo da Roca, located at the extreme end of the Sintra hills, whose Lighthouse is dated 1772 and is 165 meters over the sea level. It is the westernmost point of continental Europe. We emphasize other attractions along the coast, such as Guincho beach, a paradise for surfing enthusiasts and the Boca do Inferno (Hellmouth), a name that was given to him because of the noisy and impressive way in which the sea rushes against the caves and cliffs when the weather is bad. The last stop will be at the Bay of Cascais, with its apartments overlooking the sea, well known for the beauty of its beaches and the lively nightlife. On the way to Lisbon pass by Estoril to admire the famous Casino and its majestic gardens.
